Stepping into Spring in the Lowest Heels I Own

Stepping into Spring in the Lowest Heels I Own

When it comes to heel height, I used to be an all or nothing kind of girl. Meaning: I’d either opt for decent heels (>10 cm) or I’d wear flats. Never would I have thought that a kitten heel would find its way to my wardrobe.

But it did! At least a variation on the traditional kitten heel, in the form of these black (almost-)flats with a teeny tiny metallic heel. Somehow, I fell for them, and I think it has to do with the fact that to me these are in a whole different category than any other heel and therefore my rule simply doesn’t apply. I simply look at them as flats, not heels. Besides, I’m always looking for ways to add a bit of a twist to an outfit and these can do just that. Oh, and you can actually wear them all day, which is kind of a bonus! Maybe add some edgy style to them as well like my fab new Cutler and Gross sunglasses.

For me, this is the ultimate summer-in-the-city look. Nothing but a loose dress, comfy shoes and a bag large enough to do some unplanned shopping (you never know what you might run into!).

Speaking of the dress, that’s yet another item I found in the sale section, after having it on my wish list for quite a while. Guess I’m in the good books this year, I’ve been pretty lucky so far!
